Lemon Pepper Tofu

This lemon pepper tofu is crispy, tangy, and full of flavor. The tofu is marinated in soy sauce and seasoned with lemon pepper and cornstarch, then cooked to golden perfection. It's coated in a zesty lemon pepper sauce. Serve it with brown rice and a side of veggies for a delicious and satisfying meal!

  • 1 lb Block Super Firm Tofu

  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend(no salt)

  • 1 Teaspoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch

  • Canola Oil

Ingredients:

Lemon Pepper Sauce

  • 7 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

  • 4 Tablespoons Agave

  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend(no salt)

  • 1 Tablespoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce

Slurry

  • 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch

  • 1 Teaspoon Water


1. Marinate Tofu: Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces and place them in a medium-sized bowl. Add Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend, Soy sauce, and cornstarch. Toss until all tofu pieces are well coated.

2. Cook Tofu: Heat oil 1/4th in a pan over medium heat. Add the tofu in batches and cook until crispy on all sides, about 5-10 minutes. Drain tofu on paper towels.

3. Make Sauce: Add all lemon pepper sauce ingredients together in a bowl and mix, then make the slurry in a separate bowl. In a small saucepan, heat all the lemon pepper sauce ingredients together with the slurry and whisk. Bring the sauce to a boil, then simmer for a few minutes until thickened. Toss in the tofu and coat well.

4. Serve: Serve with brown rice and veggies. Drizzle leftover Lemon pepper sauce on top of the rice and enjoy!
